Dig into Archaeological Methods at a Renowned Site
The excavations at Despotikos proved the existence of an important late Archaic sanctuary with abundant objects indicating links to mainland Greece, the Eastern Mediterranean and even to Northern Africa, as well as the continued use of this area in the Classical, Hellenistic, Roman and Frankish periods.

The Archaeological Museum of Paros exhibits masterpieces of Parian sculpture and pottery, as well as inscriptions from excavations in Paros, Antiparos, and Despotiko. The exhibits date back to a period spanning from the Neolithic age until Roman times.
